Open Water Scuba Diver -Learn to Dive:

Experience the underwater world for the first time with a Discover Scuba Diving and then learn to become an Open Water Scuba Diver. This course is the first step in learning how to dive. This internationally recognized certification opens the door for you to enjoy the underwater world.

It consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development (online, home study or in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore the underwater world

Details:

  • Total course hours: 31 hours
  • Minimum Age: 15/10 (Junior Open Water)
  • Course Cost: $550.00
  • Prerequisite: None
  • Required Gear: Mask, fins, snorkel, booties, and a light weight skin suit. Suitable gear is available for purchase at the Dive Center

Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver -Improve Your Diving Skills:

Throughout this course you will increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to continue to learn under the supervision of a PADI instructor. This course builds on what you have learned and develops capabilities by introducing you to different activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

Some of the skills that are covered are:

  • Underwater navigation
  • Deeper water diving (typically anywhere from 60-100 feet)
  • A sampler of three more Adventure Dives of your choice, which could include wreck diving, night diving, search and recovery, drift diving, digital underwater photography, or peak performance buoyancy

  • Minimum Age: 15/12 (Junior Advanced Open Water)
  • Course Cost: $225.00
  • Prerequisite: Open Water/Junior Open Water

Rescue Diver -Learn to Aid Others:

This is a challenging and rewarding course that builds upon what you have already learned. This course expands your knowledge about how to prevent problems and how to manage them if they occur. The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they have ever taken.

Some of the skills you will learn are:

  • Self rescue
  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Rescuing panicked divers
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers

  • Total course hours: 25 hours
  • Minimum Age: 15/12 (Junior Rescue)
  • Course Cost: $250.00
  • Prerequisite: Advanced Open Water/Junior Advanced Open Water and Emergency First Response

Technical Diving -Learn to Safely Dive Beyond Recreational Limits:

Through this series of three courses (Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec50) you will first develop a strong foundation on which to build your future tec diving. You will gain valuable knowledge, skills, and experience that will take you beyond recreational diving limits. By the time you complete your training as a Tec 50 diver, your abilities as a diver will have greatly expanded and your dive skills tested.

Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50:

  • How to safely conduct extended no-decompression dives
  • Use Enriched air and oxygen for accelerated decompression
  • Improved diving skills
  • Use of lift bags for holding depths
  • Emergency procedures
  • Make decompression dives down to 165 feet
  • Use computer software to generate custom dive plans and dive tables for your dives
  • Qualify to make decompression technical dives with out an instructor
