Star Babies and Star Tots- (6 months- 3 years old):

The class uses fun activities and songs to help encourage a positive experience in young children when around water, while teaching the parents water safety and drowning prevention. However, it will not teach children how to become accomplished swimmers or how to survive in the water. A parent/guardian must accompany the child in the water at all times. The progression levels go from White, Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green.

Through the games, activities and songs infants and toddlers will learn to:
  • Enter and exit the water safely.
  • Float on back and front.
  • Submerge and learn breath control.
  • Roll from back to front and front to back with assistance.
  • Learn how to combine kicking and pulling on front and back with assistance.
Parents will also learn:
  • How to assist and hold your child in the water.
  • Valuable water safety information to keep your family safer when around water.
